Yorkshire Status: Very rare and very local resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Very local and very rare.

2012 (CHF): Probably more common than the very few records suggest. Unlike most of the Nepticulidae this species does not make distinctive leaf mines. Most records are obtained by beating alders though it can also be found flying round alders on sunny days.

Argus 87, 2019: There are only six previous records, all in vice-counties 62 & 63.

VC64. Ellington Banks MOD, 22.7.2019 gen. det. CHF (CHF, JCW et al.). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

Recorded in 7 (4%) of 200 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1868.
