Yorkshire Status: Very rare and very local resident.

Argus 52, 2006: VC62. Guisborough, larval tubes found at two adjacent sites 18.2.2006 (R. Edmunds). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

2013 (CHF): There have been no further records of this species. It is most usually found as long silken tubes formed by the larvae. These are formed on top of lichens and are covered with lichen fragments, usually in shady places on walls or rocks or sometimes on tree trunks. The larva pupates in the tube.

Argus 72, 2014: These are the first records since the moth was first found in Yorkshire (VC62) in 2006.

VC61. Allerthorpe Common, larval tubes 29.3 & 13.4.2014; North Cliffe Wood, larval tubes 22.4.2014; Skipwith Common, larval tubes 24.4.2014 (ADN). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

Argus 84, 2018: The few previous occurrences have been in vice-counties 61 & 62.

VC63. Halifax, 13.7.2018 (CS). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.
