Yorkshire Status: Rare and very local resident.

This species was first found at Rossington in the south-east of VC63 on 21/6/1994. There were several more records from this site up to 2000. The only other record is a single moth from Spurn on 16/7/2014. This is one of several species that feeds on goosefoots and oraches, and whose larval cases are indistinguishable. The adults cannot be identified by wing markings, so dissection is needed for a positive identification. It is one of the least common of this group of moths, and has a restricted distribution across the country.
