Yorkshire Status: Adventive

Argus 90, 2020: First described in 1977 from Italy it was first recorded in Britain, from Devon, in 2003. Since then it has been found quite widely north to Gloucestershire and Radnorshire in Wales and appeared in Lancashire in 2019. It is frequent in some southern England localities and the discovery of larvae shows that it has established resident populations there. There is a suggestion that the Yorkshire moths were introduced as larvae or pupae with hard wood logs.
