Yorkshire Status: Local resident.

This attractive and distinctive species of oak woodland occurs over much of the county apart from northern and western upland areas. It is rather local and seldom common; most of our records being of single moths. We are near the northern limit of its range. The larvae feed between spun oak leaves and the adults are sometimes seen resting on oak trunks by day
