Yorkshire Status: Common and widespread resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Very widely distributed and often common, mostly on lower ground, in all five vice-counties. A species often found in suburban areas. Larvae feed on rosebay willow-herb on wasteland and fuchsias in gardens and the adults are often seen feeding at honeysuckle at dusk.

2012 (CHF): Common and widespread across all of the county including the higher ground with several hundred records submitted annually.
