Current status (CHF, 2011): Last recorded 1992. Another moth which may be moving north with climatic change but might still occur on juniper in upland areas. An old unconfirmed record from Upper Teesdale has surfaced with a date of pre 1940 and it may well still occur in this area.

Argus 72, 2014: Healthy numbers from amongst junipers in Swaledale. These are the first confirmed VC65 records. There is an old unconfirmed record from upper Teesdale. The future of this colony is threatened due to the fungal disease Phytophthora austrocedrae attacking the junipers.
