Yorkshire Status: Abundant and widespread resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Often common throughout all five vice-counties and recorded from all kinds of habitats. In the east of the County the larvae have been found on bittersweet and in arable areas are often common in Augustust in cereal fields on Chenopodiaceae which have survived spraying. This, apparently is not uncommon with autumn sprays on winter cereals (PQW pers. comm.).

2012 (CHF): Widespread and common across the county in good numbers. In the last ten years there have been increased records from August to October indicative of a small second brood.
