Yorkshire Status: Scarce and thinly distributed or restricted resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Very local but often quite frequent where it does occur. Apparently associated with limestone, chalk and sandy soils. There are no confirmed recent records from VC63.

Beaumont, 2002: Remains very local, there is a recent record from VC63, the first for several years.

2012 (CHF): Numbers have increased a little but distribution is still a bit patchy. It has certainly become more common in the east of VC63. In VC61 there have been particularly good numbers at Tophill Low recently, eg 17 on 27.5.2011.
