Yorkshire Status: Uncommon and local resident.

Beaumont, 2002: VC61. South Cave, 28.6.1992, det. HEB (DBC); Spurn, 25.8.1995, 9 & 11.7.1996, 12.6.1997, 27.7.1997, 23.8.1997 (BRS). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD. VC62. Appletree Village, York, 14.7.1991 (MRB). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD. VC64. Far Headingley, Leeds, 26.9.1959 (CCS). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

2013 (CHF): Local in the south and east of the county. There are no records from VC65. This species is extremely similar to the much rarer Monopis crocicapitella, in fact the two were not properly separated until 1912. Records from any new areas and those suspected of being crocicapitella should be confirmed by dissection.
