Yorkshire Status: Very rare and very local resident. No recent record.

Sutton and Beaumont, 1987: Not definitely recorded since Porritt (1883-86) when it was taken in Wakefield (VC63) and York. This is a much decreased species, now very uncommon and local in Britain. There are records shown in 10km squares SE02 and SE30 on map 220 in MBGBI 10, but unless these can be traced and substantiated they must be treated as errors.

2012 (CHF): We often receive records for Common Fan-foot but these are always Fan-foot when questioned. Common Fan-foot is now a very rare moth in Britain and the range has shrunk considerably. There have been no records since Porritt's time in the county.
